Hello,
My name is Andrew Hwang, the creator of LPX Studios, and I am here on behalf of my online community to gain support to raise the funds needed in order to help me work on LPX Studios fulltime and give it the attention it needs to grow. I have a goal to create a channel where the online community can come to to get real world reviews and know that they can get their questions answered. I also want to provide useful informationa dn entertainment pieces as well.
In the my first few months of maintaining this channel, I have quickly found out now with several hundred subscribers, that responding to questions, planning, shooting, editing, post production, website management, marketing, etc is an entirely another full time job that I have had difficulty balancing with my current career. I have done the best I could until now, but the channel has quickly grown out of my current abilities, and has put me in a position where I hate to not satisfy and cater to my community. I have many productions, website development, and videos planned out, but need the time to be able to accomplish this great task.
I had started my channel with the purpose of trying to do what I loved. I had tried for so many years to try and live the “traditional” route of going to college, get a proper job and move up corporate America, but I quickly realized that it really wasn’t for me. Even while I was completing my MBA, my own professor and advisor recommending that I get out and go into something that allowed me to freely express myself and to be an entrepreneur. Growing up, I always loved video games and technology. I was the kid that took things apart just to see what was inside. My first job was working at GameStop where I stayed on and off during and after college for 8 years. I loved retail. I loved conversing with people, helping them, and just interacting with people. I also enjoyed creating things through media. Today I continue to ask myself why I never started this channel, years ago, but the answer is that I just didn’t know what I wanted to do then. But now I have a vision of trying to make my vision of growing a technology community. LPX Studios will be dedicated to doing Technology Reviews, Tutorials, Previews, News, Entertainment, Comparisons, and hopefully Charity Fundraisers, which is something I’ve been hoping to do for awhile.
The funds I am hoping to raise is to allow me to fully dedicate myself to growing this community and kickstart a small snowball that I hope will grow into a giant awesome thing. The funds will not only go towards helping help cover me to be able to focus on the channel fulltime for several months, and into purchasing additional products to properly review and cover. I will not keep these products but instead either give them away to the subscribers in frequent giveaways or auction them off and donate the proceeds. I am currently purchasing needed equipment and merchandise on credit, whom my girlfriend is assisting me in making the paymentst. The giveaways that I have been doing up till now have involved me selling my own items in order to make the prizes. I have made an Oath to vlog and actively report in and show the community that I will not misuse these funds and that it all will going towards to growing this channel.
I have allocated for $5,000 which will cover me for several months. I have been devoting my entire freetime, and many sleep hours just to maintain this channel, and if you have seen my channel and its growth, then it isn't hard to see what would happen if I dedicated 100% into it. Even if you can't or don't want to donate, please feel free to at least stop by my current channel, and see if it is at least good enough to draw you in as a subscriber :).
