Loving Jentry

We thought our family was complete with one 26-year-old son and one 13-year-old daughter. Our daughter runs a non-profit organization called We Care Bears, plays sports and does all the normal 13-year-old "things". We were content.
AND THEN we got a picture of Jentry. Like our Jess, Jentry was born with a cleft lip and palate, except Jentry's is unrepaired. To many families simply adopting a 6-year-old is a big step, add on to that her facial defects and she is a very hard to place little angel.
The moment we saw her we knew that clearly, we weren’t complete. Jentry belonged home with us. You see Jessica was 5 when we adopted her, so the age doesn't faze us AND we already have a team of amazing surgeons - Jessica has had SEVEN surgeries on her face. We are unafraid of what lies ahead of us.
As we were not planning on adopting again what we were NOT prepared for is the expense. Yes, adoption is very expensive. We have scrimped and saved, we have cut back on everything, but we still find ourselves $6,000 short. We are going to continue to walk in faith. A six-year-old child deserves to have a mommy and daddy to tuck her in at night, to hold her tight, she deserves to have surgery to have her mouth fixed and she deserves the comfort of a family as she is enduring that. We love her already, she is part of every single decision our family makes and we covet your support be it emotionally, financially, prayers or positive thoughts.

**UPDATE: We were recently asked to consider a 2nd little girl with CL/CP who is in danger of not being adopted. Our heart is broken knowing that there is no way we can afford the additional $14,000. I've updated our goal amount here to reflect the shortfall we have to bring Jentry home AND the money for Judy. It is our firm belief that miracles happen, that God calls us especially to care for the widows and orphans, and this goal is achievable if it is truly meant to be.
