Love Offering Fund for Luke Smith

Luke is the son of Steven and Brooke Smith and the twin brother to Lane, of Claxton, GA. Luke and his brother have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Children on the spectrum have up to a 40% chance of developing seizures. On Friday 1/11/19, Luke had several unexplained seizures after which, he became unresponsive. He was life-flighted to Savannah Memorial to be admitted to the Pediatric ICU. While the medicines are controlling seizures, he has developed Aspiration Pneumonia and had to be placed back on the ventilator. He is currently spiking high fevers, on antibiotic therapy, but has to remain on the ventilator and sedated to try to let his lungs heal. He remains in a critical and unpredictable state. The doctors and nurses at Memorial are working diligently to stabilize him and get him well enough to try to come off of the ventilator. But this has extended his stay in the PICU. Luke’s family has appreciated the prayers of friends and family. Please continue to pray for healing for Luke. Many have asked how they could give or help Luke.
