It is with a very sad heart that we inform you that our precious Maleka Jackson lost her life in a boating accident in the Bahamas. She was celebrating her 15th wedding anniversary with husband, Tiran. Tiran is badly burned and is recovering in a hospital in Florida. The Jackson’s have a son, Cameron, who will be a 7th grade student at Mill Creek Middle this fall. He is currently with family in Tennessee. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. There will be a vigil in her community (Lakestone near Walmart on 92) at the tennis court at 8pm tomorrow night (Tuesday) The journey for this family is just beginning. Maleka was a wonderful mother, loving wife, community leader, activist, amazing friend and a beautiful soul inside and out. Let's wrap our arms around them.
