Eddie Logix  HAMTRAMCK, MI
On the night of Monday, April 13th the house that I live in and keep a working studio at in Hamtramck, MI was broken into through a back window and robbed. Among a few other possesions, the majority of my studio setup was stolen including my MacBook Pro, XPC computer tower, project hard drive, microphone and mic stand, pair of KRK Rokit 6" studio monitors, 2 pairs of sony studio headphones, audio interface, 8 channel mixer, and all the files being stored or used for current projects of my own as well as that of all the other artists that I record and produce for. Music production and audio engineering has been my livlihood and main source of income for over five years now so without the necessary equipment, I am unable to keep my business operating. I work closely with many artists from the Detroit music scene whose projects and recording schedules are now on standby until I can rebuild my studio. Although the files that were lost in the robbery will never be replaced, I am looking for some assistane from my local community and beyond to help replace some of the stolen gear and get back up and running. I have already been truly overwhelmed by everyone's support and positivity during this time and look forward to seeing the results of this rebuilding process. Any and all help is appreciated more than can be expressed with words. T.Hanks in advance.

From now on backup all your files onto a flash drive that you keep with you. You won't lose the work. Also much of this equipment could be traced especially if it stays in the Detroit area. It just takes time to find. When you rebuild your studio install security cameras that you can watch via the internet so your friends can monitor your studio if you are not there. Install tracking chips in your hardware and computers. Technology is cheap but music is priceless. Sometimes you can get or buy back your own stolen property if people realize it is worthless to them.

You had your life stolen and have been graced by people your life has enriched, perhaps giving you something those thieves can never take away. {in 3 days you have raised more than twice as much than was raised for a stage 4 breast cancer patient that helped immigrants who moved to MI}. That is a testament to the power of music and the ability to build communities around it. EVEN when there are louses who would shake the foundation. I send you many blessings (and a small contribution ). I look forward to the next jams.
