Logan Schoenhardt Bucket List
I saw so many places, the things that I did
With every broken bone, I swear I lived”
-song performed by One Republic “
Logan Schoenhardt is a cherished son, brother, grandson, friend, classmate, and teammate to many of those around him. His relationship to each of us is different, but to all who know him, he is recognized as a fighter in the most remarkable way. Over many years, he has battled recurrent high grade sarcoma in his skull, and has prevailed through the ordeal and recovery six times previously.
Funds raised through this campaign will allow the family to spend valuable and precious remaining time together. Contributions will cover travel costs, and ease financial and medical challenges that have been building over the past six years, and will also cover end-of life expenses.
In addition, Logan’s parents have a broader goal in mind : to create a non-profit organization that will help families in similar circumstances. The Schoenhardts have experienced first hand the emotional and financial stress that occur during a battle with a long-term illness. Their personal experiences will guide them as they turn toward helping others.
There are no words that come readily to describe the courage, compassion, depth, and kindness of this small boy. Friends and family know him as fun, adventurous, optimistic , and a thoughtful, loyal friend. He has been an inspiration to many of us, and a hero to others. He is one of the most remarkable children you could experience and meet, even at ten years old. His conversations and vocabulary can be engaging and well beyond his youth.
Sadly, he is now engaged in his final battle, of which he is cognizant and aware . The time remaining is limited for our strong young warrior. He knows he will soon be able to rest in the arms of Jesus. As his friends and family, we want the best for him. Soon he will be in a place of fun and laughter, full of adventure and free of pain.
Logan’s family’s desire is to spend the remaining time with Logan enjoying each other’s company, while making Logan’s last days on this earth special and full of meaning and purpose. When Logan found out his cancer was back again and that nothing could stop it, he came up with his own “bucket list”. Because Logan loves science, museums, history, Disney and especially the New England Patriots, the Schoenhardt’s have plans to create experiences for Logan around each of these things if they can. Destinations so far have included New York, and Disney World.
Astoundingly, he recently met his hero, Tom Brady, and ESPN put a story together about the two of them meeting. Logan’s devotion to the team and to Tom helped him focus on something other than his trial of life. You may keep updated on Josephine Schoenhardt’s Facebook page.
Please continue to pray for Logan, Josephine, Matt, Keara and extended family as well as the others who are privileged to love Logan dearly. It has been the grace of God which has carried them thus far, and it will see them through.
Thank you for standing with the Schoenhardt family all these years. They are very grateful to all of you.

As we mentioned previously, during Logans 7 year fight, our family experienced wonderful emotional and financial support that we truly needed, as our medical policy would only cover so much. There are many , many families that we've seen over the years that need help, and assisting them will now be part of our focus. For more details regarding our mission, how we plan to help, who our board members are, etc. please visit the website and join us in our goal. Once again, we are forever grateful to all the people we know, and those that we don't, that were kind enough to help us over these past years. A link to Logans funeral will be on the Cancer Survivors Network website soon. We miss him terribly.
Logan will forever be our hero and a cherished member of our family. When people ask us, "How many kids do you have?" We say, "We have a daughter who is 20 and a 10 year old son in heaven." Because love knows no limits of time or location. Thank you very kindly for supporting us. Our hope is to turn and help the next family with our foundation. The foundation is called The Cancer Survivors Network and can be found at www.cancersurvivorsnetwork.org
To the Schoenhardt family , I'm a huge football fanatic , fellow gofundme account, and a current brain cancer fighter like Logan. I have been battling cancer for nearly 4 years and just based on those facts alone I have a connection with him that not too many have. But beyond that, I would like to let Logan and his whole family know how much it truly touched me to see his story last night. I know what it's like to go through the treatments and surgeries and how hard it is on the brain. I rewound the story on tv to watch it twice last night because I wanted to see his joy, charisma, and love for Brady, the Patriots, and football. I am a big Cowboys fan and they make me smile and yell even when I don't have much strength or energy. I also rewound it because I know it's not always smiles and ESPN around the house. It takes an incredible toll on our loved ones. I wanted to write to you guys because most of all we constantly need reminders to prioritize what's really important and to stay strong for him and for each other. I called my wife in to watch the ESPN special too because her and my three little girls are as much of my battle as I am. . I'm sure as it did for most viewers , it brought me to tears last night to hear about the metastases with the spine. It's unimaginable that Logan has to go through all that at such a young age but I hope his parents know what an inspiration he is to others like me out there with this brutal disease. He is so strong, your family is strong, and somebody way down here in Austin TX is thinking of you guys with a lot of love in his heart and tears trickling down his face for your journey, for hope, and faith that everyone is and will be at peace. #Logan-strong. Sincerely, Tony Laudadio #Tonystrong
I just watched Logan's story on E60. My heart goes out to your family. I watched my brother fight leukemia and saw how difficult the treatments were for him. I don't know about your faith or religious views, but would you please google Dr. Nemeh and consider calling him? The stories are too incredible to ignore, especially those that were shared with me personally. I'm praying for your family and especially for that beautiful little boy!!
I am a personal friend of the Schoenhardts and, yes, this is the official legitimate website. While I understand the desire to send cards and gifts, they would not be able to share their address. It would possibly invite visitors which they would not be able to welcome at this point. Logan's care requires a tremendous effort from family and friends, as well as medical professionals. Thank you all so much for you love, caring and kind wishes. The Shoenhards are overwhelmed by the support they have received and are deeply grateful.
What an incredibly brave young man, I am glad to have read about his story. Wish I could have given more.
I am so sorry to hear about Logan's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Logan was an inspiration to many and I'm so glad I was able to help make his dreams come true. Heaven has a new angel that will watch over you all ♥
Amen!! And here's to this amazing foundation! xoxoxoxoxo
Logan. You are truly an inspiration for so many people to keep fighting. You are a hero for so many people and always will be. Im so glad that you got to watch the greatest Super Bowl ever and even more so that your favorite team won the game. You're no longer in pain and I know that you'll be your families guardian angel. Rest in peace buddy.
