Brave kids need a hand.

April 14, 2014, was the day that four very young children, Zane, Samantha, Kaylea, Cameron and Jayden watched as their estranged stepfather shot their mother Rachael Moore with a shotgun.

It was murder, but Rachael only just survived because she managed to move, just in time to change a lethal shot into one that caused devastating injuries to her arm and the childrens well-being.

Dealing with their own life being threatened, witnessing the attempted murder of their mother and having to save her life in the aftermath have had an enormous impact on Zane now 5, Samantha now 7, Kaylea 12, Cameron 15 and Jayden the oldest at 16, affecting them in so many ways.

Not least, their mother is unable to care for them like other mums as she still carries significant injuries. On her arm alone, she has undergone 36 surgeries, with more to come. This means Rachael cannot earn a living.  This family needs our help.

Jaydon needs a driving licence and a cheap car.  This would enable him to help his Mum and siblings with shopping trips, school pick-ups and drop-offs, and other parenting duties.

They recently got a puppy to help the younger kids get around the nightmares of their Post Traumatic Stress, and would love to be able to get the pup trained as a PSTD support dog; however, all this takes money which the family just doesn’t have.

They cannot afford gym classes or sport which are essential to dealing with trauma, their good health, fitness and personal success.

By donating to this most worthy cause, you will be helping Zane, Samantha, Kaylea, Cameron, Jayden and Rachael to deal with the many issues in their life.

You will help them move forward from the horror they experienced and help take away the huge worry of not being able to pay the bills or support her children as Rachel undergoes further surgeries to try to save her arm and reduce some of her daily pain.

Please join me by congratulating this remarkable family for being recognised for their bravery,  by donating the price of a coffee or two, to help them to get back to leading a stress-free and positive life together.

Rachael and the kids thank you for your kindness.
