Light in the Dark Skate Park Lights

My name is Mike Maye, a local small business owner interested in helping kids have an outlet. Our company, If I Maye Clothing Co. has teamed with New Hope - a local church and other local businesses to raise funds for the installation of a lighting package at our local skate park. The park is located in Ian Deutch Memorial Park.
During summer months, day time temps reach 110+ degrees. These kids are so dedicated to their sports that they show up, day after day to ride their park, but at night- it all stops. This campaign is designed to help these kids have lights at the park, so they can ride after the peak temps drop. We are also raising funds to repair the damaged concrete areas of the skatepark, so that they are free to ride the park without the worry of getting hurt on jagged surfaces.
Through local events, and organizing a group of these kids to sell t shirts, we will be working within the community to reach our goals- but we need your help. We are planning to raise these funds within the year, so that these kids will have access to the park, and a positive outlet for their creative energy. These lights would be the beginning stage of after-school events within the community.
As a child, riding my bike and playing drums were key in finding my passion. In turn, helping these kids realize their goals is a project that is very close to my heart. Reaching this goal will be a positive example of how these kids can work together to achieve anything they set their minds to- and it's been a long time coming. Local BMX riders, Skateboarders, and Scooter riders have been fighting this fight for over 5 years!
From now until the completion of our campaign, If I Maye Clothing Co. will be selling limited edition "Light in the Dark" t shirts for $15.00 plus shipping. 50% of the profits will be donated directly into the project, and the rest will go towards the production of more shirts!
