It's Never Too Late to Learn

There is significant need in Salmon, Idaho, for ADULT EDUCATION, but there is no Idaho college or workforce training center in a 160-mile radius. The measurement of persons living below the poverty rate in our County (23.3%) exceeds the state rate by nearly 8%; food insecurity and underemployment are widespread problems.
EDUCATION IS THE ANSWER for those wishing to break this cycle of poverty, but options here are severely limited. The Lemhi Education Project has begun an adult tutoring and pre-college preparation program that is helping people prepare for and pass the GED and college entrance exams, and is supporting online college students in their current coursework.
$5,000 will cover the annual budget for the adult tutoring program and allow us to continue this important service without interruption.
