Le Teddy Tour 2018 Charity Cycle

Last year I took part in Le Teddy Tour 2017. I cycled over 300 miles from Paris to Blandford and helped raise over £3000 which I split between Teddy20 & Soi Dog Foundation.

This year i've decided to take to the saddle once more in an effort to raise even more money for my favoured charities.

Le Teddy Tour 2018 involves cycling over 330 miles across France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany from 7th June 2018 - 12th June 2018, all to raise awareness and funds for Teddy20 Supporting Children with Cancer Ltd.

Teddy20  is a children's cancer charity founded by Owen Newton and his family after they lost their 10 year old Son and Brother Ted to Ewing's Sarcoma, a very rare bone cancer. Teddy20 began in 2009, with a charity cricket match organised by Ted's father Owen Newton. He called upon the cricketing community of Blandford, Dorset, to support him in raising money for CLIC Sargent, a charity that supports children living with cancer, Kingfisher Ward in Dorchester, Piam Brown Ward in Southampton and Bone Cancer Research Trust. Due to the overwhelming success of the event, they raised £10,000 and this inspired Owen and his family to found Teddy20. From then on, the charity has continued to grow and organises fundraising balls, challenges and Teddy Rocks Festival. 

Soi Dog Foundation  is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand, the United States, Australia, Korea, UK, France, Canada and Holland. Soi Dog not only fights against the anti dog meat trade but also helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Asia. It works tirelessly to end the dog meat trade throughout the region and responds to animal welfare disasters and emergencies.

You can help by sponsoring me on this epic journey which will help to continue the support of children and young people by providing financial support to the families who may be struggling to meet the everyday demands of their child’s treatment. As well as supporting the hugely neglected and abused dogs and cats.
