Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm raising money to fund my surrogacy journey.
When I was 14 I was diagnosed with a very rare condition called MRKH Syndrome. This means that although I have fully functioning ovaries, my womb didn't develop which leaves me unable to carry my own child. We have applied for funding for IVF and have unfortunately been refused 3 times, no reason as to why... just refused.
Surrogacy costs are huge. This is not only for IVF treatment and embryo transfer to our surrogate, Laura, but also the legal costs. It would be mean everything to myself and my husband to be able to have a child of our own. It's a dream we both carry and is too awful to imagine not being able to do this.
The whole cost is between £20,000-£25,000 so we would like to raise as much as we can towards this amount.
