Lamont Burt's Funeral Expenses
I created this campaign for and with the permission of the family. Lamont's sudden and tragic passing has created a financial challenge for his single mother so I'm asking for your help.
Lamont was apart of the wrestling family in North Carolina where he wrestled at Sanderson High School and Broughton High School his last few years. He was apart of both families as well as the Dynamic Wrestling Club family. He worked hard to get to where he was and matured year by year. Lamont Burt was so many things to so many people and he brightened everyone’s day. During his senior year he was 5th in the NCHSAA State Tournament, a feat that didn’t happen on luck, but hard work and determination.
Lamont worked hard on everything he considered important in life: his family, his friends and his wrestling. His hard work earned him a scholarship to Ferrum College in Virginia. But more importantly, his countless friends, fans and admirers.

I would like to thank everyone that contributed to Lamont’s funeral expenses. Because of your generosity the funeral expenses have been taken care of and with the additional gifts we were able to move Lamont's final resting place to the Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
In addition to the generous giving, the website has become an unexpected blessing and has made us part of a very special community. We find ourselves repeatedly returning to the site to read your words of encouragement and the memories of Lamont that you've shared. It means the world to us.
As far as the website goes; it has served its financial purpose of helping us reach our goal. We wish now to re-purpose it as an ongoing memorial to Lamont. Please continue to support us through your prayers.
May God bless you,
Amy, I don't know if you will get this message, but I certainly do hope so. You have been on my mind continuously since the very moment we learned of this tragedy and Lamont's passing. Words cannot even begin to express the deep hurt that I feel for you, but in no way compares to the pain you feel. I don't think any words will bring you peace, but do know that my thoughts are with you. If there's anything that you need or anyway that I may be of help or support, please reach out to me, and when things are not so chaotic, I will reach out to you. You can get my phone number from my sister or my parents, if you don't have it. My very deepest sympathies and love, Trina
