The Lady Stars are a girls hockey team in Lincoln, Nebraska. Founded four years ago with eight young skaters, the program has tripled in size, allowing more and more girls to experience everything hockey has to offer: confidence, teamwork, disipline, and fun.
Hockey is not an inexpensive sport, and the Lady Stars have committed this year to making sure that no additional fee is required to be a member of the team. The all-volunteer coachings staff helps, but the high price of ice rental means fundraising is necessary. We've served burgers at the arena. We've sold tee shirts. But we still need your help.
Twenty donations of $25 will keep the girls practicing together every week for for a month. Three $100 donations will fund a friendly game with Omaha, Des Moines, or other local teams.
Anything you can provide will be welcome, and we'd love to see all of our supporters--families, friends, girls hockey boosters, would-be Lady Stars--at the rink so we can thank you all properly.
