Our Story...
On August 14, 2015 Theo & Konica McMullen were blessed with the birth of their only child, Micah, which in Hebrew means "Gift From God." Micah had been a healthy baby, was thriving, and was the absolute Joy of Theo & Konica's lives...
The morning of Wednesday December 16, 2015 was like any other day. Sweet Little Micah was taken to daycare while mom & dad went to work. Happy & Healthy that morning ...the unthinkable happened. A phone call NO parent could ever imagine receiving. Four month old precious Micah had become unresponsive! By the Grace of God & the help of an Excellent Medical Team at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, little Micah's heart began to beat once again! Over the course of the next six days multiple tests were performed ...But unfortunately, although Micah's little heart was beating strong, his brain was not fuctioning. Surrounded by loving family & friends, baby Micah gained his angel wings on December 22, 2015 at 12:32 pm.
This series of events has left Theo & Konica absolutely Heartbroken, ...but they stand strong in Faith & are grateful for the time they had with their "Gift From God." They find comfort in knowing that their Lord & Savior will one day reunite them with their Sweet Baby Micah...
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." Luke 18:16
As you can imagine the health care expenses & costs to lay sweet Micah to rest are surmountable. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and would help to relieve the financial burden while Theo & Konica begin the grieving process.
