Kampung Utara Melbourne, popularly known as KUM, is an association representing the Malay community in the northern region of Melbourne, mainly of Singaporean and Malaysian backgrounds.
KUM has been in existence for 10 years and was formally incorporated in April 2016 to support the rapidly growing number of Malay families in the area.
In April 2017, we acquired the new KUM Centre in Coolaroo (near Roxburgh Park) as the future home for our community activities.

CORE ACTIVITIES @ the KUM Centre:
- Friday Religious Classes
- Madrasah Al-Muhajirin for Muslim children
- Guest speaker talks and Da’wah activities
- Iftar gatherings and Eid celebrations
- Youth development programmes
- Community activities
In May 2017, KUM Centre was purchased at a price of AUD$577,000, out of which AUD$300,000 was from a wakaf donation & AUD$277,000 from an interest-free loan.
Alhamdulillah, by the will of Allah s.w.t. we have accumulated and paid AUD$545,000 to date & have a balance of AUD$32,000 more to raise.
Join us in our KUM Ramadan Campaign 2019 and together with your help and generosity, we can achieve our full settlement goal for the KUM Centre, in shaa Allah.
