Cortland Splash Pad

The City of Cortland, a growing vibrant community located in central Trumbull County (Ohio), is proud of its seven parks and recreation areas, presided over by the Cortland Parks Board. The Board’s responsibilities include oversight of the community’s parks and recreational needs, including developing facilities which provide a service to our residents as well as opportunities for those outside our city to visit, participate, and support the local economy.

The Cortland Parks Board, Mayor, and Cortland City Council are pleased to announce that Phase 1 of  its first-ever Splash Pad was completed last fall. The Splash Pad is located within the city limits at our Pearl Park location and will not only serve the 7,000 residents of Cortland but will be available to the residents of the surrounding area at no charge.

Our goal is to raise the majority of funds through community support, with the city supplementing the installation and the year-to-year maintenance and utilities costs.  We have currently raised nearly 80% of the total construction cost.  The portion of the Splash Pad not yet funded is the "safety surface".  This will prevent those slipping or falling from coming in direct contact with the concrete surface and "cushion" any contact with the Splash Pad.
