Tornado Relief for Legacy Families

Walking through the hallways of Tulsa Legacy Charter School, you'll undoubtedly hear 'Team & Family' a number of times. We strive to create that environment within our walls but also to extend that sentiment to the North Tulsa community - a community that is home to so many of our scholars. Their community is our community and their families are our families.
On Wednesday, March 30th, a powerful tornado touched down in North Tulsa traveling at 25 miles per hour. The storm produced hail that was nearly 2 inches in diameter and left destruction in it's wake. While we are incredibly thankful that our students and their families are safe and accounted for, we are devastated at what this storm has done to the community and specifically to the homes of many of our students. Many of our scholars endured damage to their homes and churches and a few families lost everything. Our students came to school frightened and rattled.
We are raising money to directly support these families - many without home insurance - and to help provide our scholars stability and safety outside of our building. All funds will go directly to families and the money raised will be split between all of our school families affected by the storm. Money will also be used to help purchase whatever items families are requesting in the interim.
Our school family is treasured and we so appreciate any and all help you're able to provide. Thank you so much for helping our scholars rebuild what was once theirs and for contributing to rebuilding their community as a whole.
