Kona Ironman World Championships

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica Lambert and I'm a junior undergraduate at the University of Alabama. I am on the Alabama Triathlon Club and this past weekend I had the oppurtunity to race my first Ironman in Panama City Beach, Florida.  For those that don't know an Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and marathon run. It was an incredible experience and after months of long training I was able to finish much faster than I anticipated. I ended up winning my age group (Females 18-24) and qualified for a spot for the Ironman World Championships on October 14th, 2017 in Kona, Hawaii. This is an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity and I would truly love to go, but unfortunately the race entry fee alone costs $999, and the cost to get to Hawaii is another story. I would be so grateful if anyone would be willing to make a small donation so that I can afford to attend this event; it really would mean the world to me!
