Battering occurs among people of all races, ages, socio-economic classes, religious affiliations, occupations, and educational backgrounds.
And that
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44 in the United States, more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined. ("Violence Against Women, A Majority Staff Report," Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, 102nd Congress, October 1992, p.3.)
It was also established that
The cost of intimate partner violence exceeds $5.8 billion each year, $4.1 billion of which is for direct medical and mental health services.

We are a not for profit tax exempt organization providing a safe haven and services to women and their children of domestic violence abuse presently known as intimate partner violence
The agency is in need of your assistance to provide a safe haven and services that will empower these women once they make the decision to leave an abusive relationship.
Your funding will provide a safe haven, counseling service, safety planning, material and supply's, food, clothing and a hotline services, the funding will also provide staff members with pay
