Keep the Kitebuilder's Forum Alive

Donation protected
There's no better source of information about making kites than on the Kitebuilder's Forum. If you want a kite plan, tech specs on carbon fiber spars, tips on working with organza, to find a quality used sewing machine, or just to kick an idea around with kitemakers around the world, the Forum has it. And it's always been free for anyone to use.

Of course, the Forum isn't truly free. There are costs associated with maintaining it, owning the URL, and paying for server space. The Forum's founder, Steve Ferrel, needs a hand from kitebuilders to cover the Forum expenses.

Fly Market Kitemaking Supply owes a debt of gratitude to Steve for all the business advice he's given, so we're going to make the first donation. We're also making special Forum feathers, and every donor will receive one. Wear it proudly to let other kiters know that you support the Kitebuilder's Forum. We've also got a big box full of random spars (carbon, fiberglass, and wood... really random stuff that's been collecting in our workshop for years), and every American donor will be entered into a drawing to win it.

This campaign will go through the summer until Labor Day. All funds raised will go to Steve Ferrel to be used for maintaining the Kitebuilder's Forum, and keeping this vital source of information alive for years to come. If everyone donated the cost of a yard of ripstop, or the price of carbon tube, we'll reach the goal easily. Thanks for supporting the Kitebuilder's Forum.
