MLK Jr Elementary Field Trips

We need your help! We are a group of Portland State University students raising money for 4th graders at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary school in NE Portland to attend field trips this school year! Field trips have been a fun and exciting experience for school aged children for decades. These trips give students the opportunity to experience art, music, science, and nature outside their classroom walls. We want to give these students the opportunity to go out in their community and live what they have learned in the classroom! The students would love to go to OMSI, a play or musical performance, the Portland Art Museum, or participate in an Oregon Trail interactive field trip. Field trips are meaningful and memorable to students, as well as give them a well-rounded educational experience. Let’s get these kids out of the classroom, onto a school bus, and on their way to an exciting new adventure!
