Helping Zoey Kick Cancer

Zoey, our black Labrador Retriever, is a beautiful 8-year old love bug. She is the most amazing companion anyone could ever ask for...and my very, very best friend. She has a heart of gold and loves every single person and animal. She is always there to cheer up anyone whether they're sad or happy or hurt. Zoey listens, licks, and loves. She is a completely selfless companion whom I wish everyone in the world could have at least once in their life.

Recently, we started to notice a large lump forming on her side...this lump grew fast and pretty large. Last week we took her in to have it looked at. Zoey's veternarian aspirated the mass and informed us that this was no fatty mass, it was something a lot more serious. The next day we scheduled Zoey for surgery to have the tumor removed and sent to a labratory for a biopsy. Last Thursday the biopsy showed that our lovely furry baby has Sarcoma. Our vet immediately referred Zoey to an oncologist. Today we visited the specialist and were told that she needs a surgery with a specialty surgeon who can be more aggressive in removing the cancer cells. This surgery comes at a very large price: $4,000!
