I have met the affected people of the Keys while volunteering with my FIRE DEPARTMENT, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, and their grief is palpable. Hurricane Irma left devastation in her path, destroying homes and lives. In my own backyard, the Florida Keys took relentless abuse and the destruction is heart wrenching.
To continue the efforts of my Fire Department and so many others, I have partnered with Union Local 4321 and friends, to raise awareness and collect donations that will help these families.
We will be taking 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!! of your donations with an ESCORTED convoy, provided by BSOFD, to the Keys to distribute to the families in most need. No part of your money will be used for payment to our team members, fuel, nurishment, or any other espense we occur on our trip. Every penny donated (minus gofundme fees) will be allocated to the Keys families. No donation is too small or too big and your donation will make a difference.
