History: This is only what I know from talking to him.
HE had a good job working as a driver for a transportation company. (NVT??)
His Father got sick so he went to take care of him until his passing.
When he returned the transportation company didn't have room for him..
He did odd jobs, roofing, some winery work but couldn't find anything full time.
He ended up on the streets, occasionally crashing on a friends couch helping them in need,
And then back to the street.
Kenny has worked at Miner for the last 2 harvests, and spotty tasting room help.
I will be straight up STINKY SMOKER, NO MORE TASTING ROOM WORK!
Kenny is in the process of buying a van from my sister. He has had some mishaps with his money living on the streets. He has paid $1500 of $2500 as far as I know towards the van.
This will become his temporary home. This is not bizarre, as many people have been doing it full time for many years.
The next punch:
Kenny hasn't been to work for the last 5 work days.
His mom had a stroke. He has been there for her since this has happened.
She is in recovery, but needs help. I'm not sure if or when Kenny will be able to return to work.
So all of this said we have a friend, a co-worker in need.
I'm in for $100.00 of $1000 towards the van. if we exceed $1000, the balance will pay for license/registration/insurance
I only know that if we do this we are giving Kenny a chance.
