Now more than ever I am convinced of the need for a strong State Party to rebuild after the heartbreaking losses in November. While the lessons to be learned from this are still coming into focus, I firmly believe our Party’s approach to winning elections – grassroots organizing and face-to-face conversations with fellow Minnesotans – will be more important than ever.

I am more resolved than ever to build our Party to win and build it to last. This means not only maintaining healthy financial and organizational capacity, but more importantly continuing to make our Party more inclusive – both in the candidates we field and in our Party leadership. We need to reach out to all Minnesotans, whether they live in the cities, the suburbs, the greater Minnesota regional centers or rural communities. Our strength has always been our willingness to fight for every Minnesotan who needs a champion, and this is the way we’ll position ourselves to win again in 2018.
