Keeping Vets Alive

Here is a fundraiser that is very close to my heart... I am raising money for Project Welcome Home troops, an organization that treats veterans with post traumatic stress disorder. Unfortunately, my life has been consumed by this terrible mental disorder. PTSD and veteran suicide has changed my outlook on life, it is important to live life to the absolute fullest. On February 20th of 2013, my cousin, Stephen Keyes, committed suicide after a log hard battle with PTSD. As a United States Marine, he served in Haiti, Afghanistan, Kuwait, etc., all to keep our nation safe. Not only was he an incredible brave young man, but also a role model in my life. His constant sense of humor and great attitude emitted happiness to everyone that surrounded him. In memory of my cousin, and many other veterans who have committed suicide, I am raising awareness of the issue. My hope is that both the Wauwatosa and Milwaukee community will become more aware of how terrible veteran suicide and PTSD is. I truly believe that one small action can create a huge impact on a larger community. Help me spread awareness and support those who have kept our nation safe.
