Keep Westpark Golf Course Green

Friends of Westpark, we need your help! As many of you know Westpark Golf Club is under contract to be purchased by Cal Atlantic Developers. The current plan is to place 27 Estate homes throughput the golf course or cluster 27 homes parallel to Chancellor Street. WE SAY NO!!!!!!!
Why is this so important? The environmental and flood plain disrubtion, school zoning and traffic issues, impact to our homes and our lives is tremendous. The purpose of this group (Keep Westpark Golf Course Green) is to have a voice in how the green space of Westpark progresses. It's beautiful views and open layout, weaved throughout a true community of neighbors has been a mainstay of Leesburg for years. Green space has a place....and it's right here. Now is the time to act!
This Go Fund Me is to raise funds to support our protest efforts. This is going to be a long fight and to win it we need to be loud and be visible. The initial goal is $5000.00. If everyone in the Keep Westpark Green Facebook Group gave $10 we would reach our goal very quickly. These funds will be used to purchase lawn signs, tshirts to be worn at town meetings by our group to show solidarity and other anti- development materials as needed.
In a perfect world we would raise $10 million and purchase the land ourselves to be put into a land trust. I dare to dream......
There will be complete transparency on my part on how these funds are used. I will post donations and purchases regularly. Any reamining funds after the fact will be donated to an enviornmental charity or, should we win, perhaps a tri neighborhood block party.
