Our mission of this fundraising effort is to keep a little girl with the only family she knows.
Christal and Brittney have been together for over 10 years. Their careers as a teacher and firefighter show their service driven hearts. They are currently in an intense court battle with their daughter’s biological mother. Their little girl, has been with them for almost 7 years since she was only a year old. This is her family. Christal and Brittney are her parents. They have her first steps on video, her first words and all the memories of her childhood.
She came into their home when the biological parents were unable to provide basic care. As next of kin, they welcomed her into their home as their own. She enjoys playing with her little brother, Madden, and all the extracurriculars you’d expect out of a thriving and joyful little girl.
Unfortunately, the court system over the past 4 years of battling for custody has strained their finances to a point of exceeding $50,000 in court costs. All of this to prove that a little girl should remain with her family. Lower levels have denied the biological parental rights but the judicial system battle continues at the expense of this family.
She deserves to be raised in a drug free and stable environment. She and Madden deserve to grow up as loving siblings under the same roof. Christal and Brittney deserve to continue loving their daughter and providing her with the best life they can. We are asking you to find it in your heart to assist them as they work to keep her safe, loved, and in their home.
