KEEP O'BRIENS OPEN

As many of you know last week O'briens was hit with a number of minor violations and forced to shut their doors. Each of these violations come with a hefty fine of $1,000 dollars or more. If you've ever enjoyed a beer during happy hour had one of their outstanding burgers or Irish specialties, seen a great band, met up with family or friends and especially if you don't want to see O'briens become another empty building please consider donating anything and sharing this page.
While Coram has been home to so many of us, our families and our friends in recent years it's also become home to a problem with violence, drugs and homelessness. In the midst of all of these issues O'briens has managed to keep its doors open and be a place where locals, friends and family can come and relax after a long day, can listen to unique local bands that wouldn't have a platform if not for them, where artists can hold nights to showcase their talents, a friendly place with people who have opened their doors and arms to the community in their time of need by holding fundraisers for individuals and community groups. O'briens has been an affordable place to have family parties and events as well as giving many young locals a chance to work and gain experience in the food service field. Many people have come to know the faces they've seen working there for years and a chef who has been there since the beginning. These friendly faces have been put out of a job as well.
We are not trying to make the pad the pockets of some rich restaurant owner, we are just trying to help out a local family who have helped many in the community through the years. There are many people who care out of work as well due to these outrageous violations and they could use everyone's help in being able to get back to work. O'briens has managed to stay open despite the issues coram has been facing and now needs our help to remain open and continue to be a warm and friendly place for everyone. Please help us pay off these fines and open the doors back up.
