Keep Calm + Transplant On

Donation protected
Hello friends and family, it’s with a heavy heart we are having to do this. We have been down a long and hard road with Asher. He was diagnosed with a very rare congenital heart defect. We were sent to Seattle to deliver at 34 weeks with the worry he would be born with a need for life support. We ended up leaving Seattle and heading to Salt Lake City.  We were told that he would be able to be delivered without need of life support, at least temporarily.  We had Asher home for about a week and a half before we were called back down to Salt  Lake. Due to the aneurism he was born with, he developed cardiomyopathy of the left ventricle extremely fast. We were admitted for three weeks and sent home on different medications and a feeding tube. Asher had mostly good days and then a few bad ones. This past week Asher was re admitted to Salt Lake City primary Children’s Hospital on the 27th of June. He was placed in the Cardiac intensive care unit. Asher unfortunately has been listed for a heart transplant. He will be receiving his first open heart surgery July 2, 2019 to place a Ventricle assist device in his heart until the day he will receive a new one. He will have to stay in the hospital while he has the VAD. This road won’t be easy. The time frame of receiving a new heart has a range of 3-6 months to even a year.  There will be lots of travel time between Jack and Jetta. So anything  to help out would be greatly appreciated. Even if it’s a card or gift basket! Thank you in advance!
