had to change the picture as someone reported us to summit point and they found no picture releases of the 2 girls on file, they will be there tonight :/
Kay opened her home and heart to special needs individuals 33 years ago this May. She started as a fosterparent, and she adpoted her first child 27 years ago. Over the years she has opened her doors and heart to over 35 children. She still has contact with some of the families (both foster and adopted).
She puchused her current home almost 20 years ago and had plenty of space at the time . Since then her doors have continued to revolve. She has gained some new kids (now adults) and lost some, and everyone has grown. Currently she has 8 indivials under her care. 5 individuals she has adopted and 3 others living in her home that have aged out of the "foster" title. There is question as to weather we have enough square footage now for the number of people living in her home (mind you this number has been stable for the last 4 yrs and never questioned until now). We would like to add about 1000 sq ft to make the home more functional for everyone. Please help us grow our existing space.
She is having a hard time getting a loan as her income is all self employed. This is not a typical foster care, this is a "FOREVER HOME" for these individuals. The ones that have come and gone over the years Kay was a stable home till parents could care for them again. Please if you can not help financially at least continue to share this on a regular basis
