Kayleigh’s Kause is a local family organization established to honor the life of an angel. Kayleigh lost her battle with cancer 12 years ago at age 7. Since that time her parents, Bob & Leigh Claypool started the organization as a way to honor her memory and heal their hearts.
Kayleigh loved to ride her bike even during the hardest cancer treatments. Kayleigh’s Kause raises funds annually to provide bikes to children with cancer and their siblings at Christmas time.
Kayleigh’s Kause partners with local Columbus charity Kids-N-Kamp to coordinate the annual event. This year’s event is Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Eastland Career Center from 2-5 PM.
Everest Institute Columbus is collecting cash donations and will be a drop off location for bicycle donations, as well as assist with bicycle assembly. The goal is for every child in attendance to receive a bicycle (500 bikes are needed).
While the Kause continues to grow, this goal has never been met. With the help of Everest, we hope to make it happen. Anyone interested in learning more about the organization can reach out to Everest Columbus Campus Career Services Direrctor, Rusty Carpenter [email redacted] or visit Kayleigh’s Kause on Facebook at the links above.
