Who you are and your relationship or contact to the intended recipients of your campaign’s donations : I am a member of the local community of North Devon and I am raising funds for 2 causes the first been a local charity called Chemo Hero - they raise money and collect donations of gifts and make boxes of hope for people undergoing chemotherapy at Barnstaple hospital or anyone from the area which ever hospital they attend - these boxes contain gifts to cheer the person up and things like a meal out for them and their family, I have no connection to this charity other than my Manager has received one of their boxes as she is undergoing Chemo for breast cancer. The second charity is called encompass sw and covers North Devon supporting people that are homeless / facing homelessness and or poverty. the money raised will buy a gift for Xmas for 8 people in the supported accommodation, a xmas meal / food and any left over will go to the soup kitchen. I work for this charity so I see first hand what is needed and why - we are none for profit so all money made goes straight to the service users.
How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible) 50% of the money raised will go to Chemo hero to buy items to go into the boxes. 50% will go to Encompass SW to buy 8 people in supported accommodation an xmas gift and any left over to buy food in the soup kitchen we run.
Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the intended recipient(s) To transfer the money direct to the both charities.
Anything else you feel may help us better understand your campaign’s purpose I have seen first hand what amazing work both these charities do and the impact it has on the people we support. One of my fears is to have no hair so Im facing my fear to show these people I care and to try and raise some money for them.
