Incurable: adjective in·cur·able (ˌ)in-ˈkyu̇r-ə-bəl
: impossible to cure : not curable
: not likely to be changed
I know I am not the only one.
“I would classify your disease as incurable. The goal at this point would be to stabilize it for as long as possible.” The recommendation: weekly chemotherapy for as long as my body could sustain it. Then the goal would shift to making me comfortable for as long as possible.
I know I am not the only one.
This news came four and a half months after I underwent a partial hysterectomy and was diagnosed with Stage IIIB ovarian cancer. It came after I entered a clinical trial and endured four months of grueling chemotherapy. It came after another oncologist told me that he also believed my disease was nonresponsive to chemotherapy.
I know I am not the only one.
I’ve heard clearly from God that these doctors are not right. I don’t need more chemotherapy, and I am not incurable. And others are being told the same thing each and every day. So what do we do to heal? Join me in finding the answer.
I know I am not the only one.
