Zim's emergency surgery

Unfortunately, I have had to go through a situation, I would wish upon no one. On the 11th of Feburary 2016,  my jack russell cross, Zim and I, were following normal routine and doing our normal eveing walk in the dog park. However during this day, Zim ventured out of the dog park to take a sniff of the grass outside as he usually does, as he is an off leash dog. Whilst sniffing the grass a dog was walking pass, and Zim paid little attention to this dog. However for reasons unkown, with no provking this dog turned and attacked Zim, grabbing  him by the throat and tugging on him like a chew toy, with no intent of letting go. Whilst we ran to his aid, there was no way to seperate this dog from Zim, for a period of time as the carer of the dog was not his owner and was currently looking after him as a foster carer. After minutes of struggle we were finally able to release Zim and ran to take Zim to the Emergency Vet Hospital. Zim was taken into the hospital and is currently in a critical condition. He is planned to go into surgery to fix his deep wounds however as the surgery is being post ponned due to his inability to sit through surgery at this state. There is a risk of an open chest surgery occuring due to the possibility of fluids entering his lungs due to his chest injury and the wait in surgery.

Unortunately due to my current status as a apprentice, I am embarrased to say I am not financially prepared for this surgery to take place, and I have only been approved for a loan covering his first night of emergency. I have also been given some financial help by the foster organiser who was in charge of the dog, but sadly this still is not enough to pay for this life saving surgery. Whilst I never thought and never wanted to be in a situation where I would need to ask the kindness of strangers and friends, I am currently at this point in time.  I honestly dont expect anyone to give, honestly a share of this post would honestly be enough. But if you are in the stage of your life where you can give and want to give, then I would be eternally greatfull for your genouristy.

Zim has been with my family for 12 years and he is a fighter. We plan to have him for many more years.
