Student Loan Debt

Donation protected
Hello family, friends, strangers, anyone reading this post! My name is Justin Doss and I am currently a sales support Specialist working in the health insurance industry. Like most people I had a dream to go to college and get an education so I could be succesful and blah blah blah! Unfortunately I grew up in a single family home and my mom was not able to afford to pay for my schooling so for a few years I worked and eventually I enrolled into college. I was not educated about student loans nor did I have any idea of the reality of paying back those loans. I went to the Art Institute to get a degree in audio engineering thinking that would allow me to pursue my dream of working in the music industry, and although I did graduate and find awesome internships none of those jobs were paid. It didn't take me long to realize I got a degree in something that wouldn't allow me to pay back my loans. Now I know there are some one off stories out there of successful engineers and producers but lets be real! All I knew is that I wanted an education and taking out student loans was how I thought I could achieve that.  I then decided to go back to school and get a degree in business administration which only increased my student loan debt but atleast I eventually  graduated in 2012 only to find my self working at Office max stocking shelves. Fast forward to 2016 and I'm $160,051.95 in debt with student loans. I am now married to an awesome and encouraging wife but due to my student loans we worry about our future at times, and for good reason that debt is no pocket change! We have 3 lovely children and we want to teach them what we were not taught, how to be financially responsible with money. We also want to encourage them not to take out student loan debt and we want to start a college fund for them so they don't face the issues I had to face all because I wanted to pursue a college education.  I think it is criminal how lenders like Navient (Sallie Mae) take advantage of young minded individuals who have no clue about the world and trap them in financial hell before they can even make decisions about life. I'm not asking for a pity party or for people to feel sorry for my situation. I am simply asking the community for a helping hand. I know some will dismiss me and thats fine but for people who care and understand my situation I am asking for help to get out of debt. It takes alot of courage to admit you made a mistake and it takes more courage to ask people for help!  I am willing to do both if it will some how help me with my goal of being debt free and escaping the prison of student loan debt once and for all. I will be eternally grateful for any amount you choose to contribute to my cause. Thank you and God bless!
