A Memorial for Andrew

Writing this does not come easy. A part of me doesn’t know what to say, while another part of me wants to write a novel about the person I am writing this for, what happened to him, and what brings me to this very page. Though, the truth is… I wish I didn’t have to write it at all.
Intelligent, funny, humbling, remarkably talented- my best friend, my mentor, my heart, my brother – was shot and killed by his best friend of over 15 years with 4 shots from a 12 gauge shotgun. This took place on the same day they had spent hanging out with each other for hours, but the killer currently walks free. There are a lot of details I am not going to explain right now (but I do hope to share the full story in the near future) because of legalities and the fact that I don’t believe the finer details need to be on this page at this time. Currently, I am a single mother that works full time. My father, sister and I have absorbed the costs to repair my brother’s home, funeral home fees, and many other expenses that come with such a loss as this. Furthermore, I took time off of work because trying to work after this all happened was an impossible task.
I am creating this page in hopes to raise money for a memorial service because I have not yet been able to afford a celebration of my brother’s life that was cut short.
