Track Season 2016

Donation protected
As some of you may know, my name is Hakeem Fairweather, a 22 year old All-American longjumper out of Los Angeles, CA. Track season is fast approaching and unfortunately my financial situation has worsened. I have been working, training, and trying to stay afloat ever since my mother was laid off her job after 20 plus years. I found out in November that we were in jeopardy of losing our home and I was ready to hang up my spikes and never touch the track again. Even within all of these financial hardships, my mother pushes me everyday to train and follow my dream of becoming an Olympian. I have a fantastic group of supporters that are willing to work with me, but it is not free.
Any funding that I am fortunate to receive will go towards travel, coaches fees, physical therapy fees, and the entry fees to various track meets in my quest to make the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. I am forever grateful for the talents that I have been blessed with and I would like to continue to hone those talents. If you are not able to make any financial contributions, appreciate you hearing about my story and politely ask if you would share this with others. Words of encouragement are also greatly appreciated via my email, Facebook, or Twitter. I am really looking forward to this season and looking forward to making my family, friends, and supporters proud.
