Norman Ingram Community Ice Rink

Donation protected
We are parents in the neighbourhood of Don Mills who once heard that years ago, there was a community ice rink on Norman Ingram's field. Some of us even remember it and skated on it as kids!

Considering how valuable and rare ice time is at any rink and how many people would get use of this, we are eager to bring it back this winter 2015/16 and beyond!

With the initiation of Jason Walker and Jason Szekely (two Dad's whose children attend the school), Norman Ingram Public School has agreed to allow us to set up an ice rink on their property. In the past, the rink boards were provided through the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation. However, the city is unable to provide us the boards in this day and age. The money that we are hoping to raise through this website will go towards the material and will make this rink possible. This should be a one time payment towards the boards, as we have a secure and free place to store them yearly that was donated to us.

We have started a volunteer team of local people who have expressed an interest in helping to maintain the rink throughout the winter. Maintenance would consist of shoveling and flooding the rink throughout the season. Anyone who can volunteer some time, please contact us through this website. This will not work without your help!

We are aiming to build two rinks - one with boards and one without so that people and children of all ages will be able to enjoy the ice. We look forward to everyone's support and hope to see you all out there soon!
