Campaign to decriminalise sex work in SA.

Donation protected
Sex Industry Decriminalisation Action Committee (SIDAC) is a volunteer group who are passionate and determined in working towards the decriminalisation of sex work in South Australia.

The laws pertaining to sex work in South Australia have not been reviewed for over 60 years, they are archaic and unworkable, placing sex workers in positions of vulnerability and inequity in the work force.

SIDAC is holding an information and education evening on 28th March, which will be open to everyone, including politicians and various other people with decision making powers.

Events such as this are impossible to run free of charge, as venues need to be paid for, and impacting guest speakers will be required to travel from interstate and overseas.

We have been fortunate enough to secure two very special and impacting voices for this event; Dame Catherine Healy (NZ) and Julie Bates AO (NSW). This would not have been possible without the generous donations we have received so far and we thank you all so much.

We have found the need to raise our funding goal, and it now stands at $5,000. SIDAC is asking you all to please dig deep for the last few things required to ensure this event is as impacting as possible.  We desperately want to hire a Auslan Interpretor (sign language) and also a member of the traditional owners of Kaurna land to conduct an official ”welcome to country”, amongst other things.

No donation is too small, you can make a positive change in the lives of sex workers!

Thank you in anticipation of your help and support.
