As everyone knows, my mother battled cancer in 1994. She was a survivor of cancer until December 2015 when she was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma. After running all the necessary procedures they found metastatic cancer in both her lungs. She started her first cycle of chemotherapy in February 2016 and will undergo 3, 3-4 day vigorous treatments. These treatments are hard on her. They make her weak and vulnerable to any diseases, so she can no longer work at her restaurant. It has been hard for her and my father as this is their only income source since his heart attack in 2013 and they did not have insurance until recently. All her procedures had to be paid for upfront including a big deposit for her first treatment. This has taken all of their savings. Today while battling cancer for a second time, we hope and pray that the good Lord will cure her.
