Hubbard's 2016-2017 CloseUp Trip

It's that time of the year again!
The CloseUp club is hard at work learning and participating in discussions surrounding our government, history, and democracy. Six students (and me) are slated to go to DC with us this year, and they couldn't me more excited.
This year, our Close Up Club is busy learning and discussing governments and politics. The students do extra assignments outside of class to participate and devote their time and energy to our club. Close-Up, a nonprofit organization offers,
"...a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to experience their government in action. From visits to Washington’s famous monuments, memorials, and institutions, to meetings with their Congressional delegation on Capitol Hill, Close Up students get a first-hand look at the American political system and consider what role they, as students, play in our democracy."
The program allows the students to see and learn about democracy in action as they explore D.C. with students from all over the country. They have a jam-packed, rigorous and rewarding schedule everyday. Each year our students give the trip rave reviews.
This year, we once again have to make up half our budget. That means that the students need to fundraise. The students are raising some of the money on their own, but as team we need to raise the difference.
We would appreicate any help you can offer. The money will be used to pay for the trip, which includes air, hotel, attractions; the entire program!
