Eric & Shanna's Journey to a Miracle
It is our dream to be able to become parents, and we decided two years ago that we were ready to move to adoption, and we truly feel this is God's plan for us. Our hearts are open, and our arms are waiting. We are currently working with our agency finishing an updated home study, once approved we will begin working with another agency to begin the process of a domestic (in the U.S.) infant adoption.
Our agency requires half of our payment up front, and the rest when we are matched with a birth mother and 30 days away from the birth. Our goal is to raise enough funds to help us keep the amount we finance as low as possible. Every little bit helps, and that's why we are here. The agency fees help to provide the birth mother with healthcare, counseling support, and financial assistance for living expenses during her pregnancy and for a period of time postpartum. The fee also covers the cost for the agency to work with us, our advertising, and our legal aid and documents required to finalize the adoption.
You can also visit my Etsy shop where I offer hand knit and sewn items for women and children here: the Striped Tangerine . All profits from the sales in my shop will benefit our upcoming adoption. I also welcome custom orders if you have something in mind that you don't see in my shop.
The financial help you give, will help this military family grow through the love of adoption. This is our Journey to a Miracle, and we are honored to share it with you.
Pictured below is an example of our tree of life poster we plan on hanging in the nursery. Ours will read: Love Grows a Family.
We are working hard at staying busy to help this "waiting" time pass. We started work on our nursery, and hope to have it completed within the next month or two. It is with God's love and the hope and faith we bear that keeps us moving, and remembering that this is His will, and he will guide us through this journey to a miracle in His time.
Happy New Year!
We are overwhelmed at the support we have received so far, and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
