●     This gofundme page has been set up by people who dearly love and care for an extraordinary woman called Dounne Alexander, in response to her horrendous ‘ongoing’ experience in the Family Courts… and are dedicated to supporting her fight against ‘Marital and Legal Abuse’.  As the subject matter is also affecting the wider public and could potentially help others, we sincerely hope that after reading her story, you too will feel equally moved to do the same.

Dounne’s ‘Journey to Justice’ began in 2013, when her former-husband (respected actor in a popular soap), forced her into a position to have to ‘fight for survival’ through the Family Courts, in the hope of obtaining justice.

●  A CAUSE FOR CONCERN

For 8 long, stressful years, in a place where she believed the ‘Truth’ was ‘Sacred’ (especially when sworn under Oath)…  Dounne faced a dedicated campaign of (what can only be perceived or described as) unbelievable corruption, intimidation, obstruction of justice, abuse of power, violations against her Human Rights and Natural Justice… involving her former husband, his Legal Team, select Judges and Staff within the Family Courts. 

Unable to retain Legal Representation from 2013 and with ‘legal aid’ no longer available, Dounne’s journey reached its peak in April 2018, when the former husband ‘unlawfully’ imposed a Court Order, knowing he had deliberately left her destitute (*see Part 2 - ‘Where it all began’- below), to pay £5611.20.   consisting mainly of his legal fees, within 14 days.  Under the threat that if she could not pay, he would take steps to enforce the sale of her home to recoup the money… with the knowledge that his actions would make her homeless.  Being that the Court Order was unlawful, Dounne raised her objections and refused to consent, but the District Judge overruled her. 

In response, an emergency GOFUNDME page was swiftly set up in an attempt to safeguard her home, and we were extremely grateful to have raised £1,740, in just 8 days.  We will of course keep you updated.

Nevertheless, due to ongoing issues surrounding the case concerning alleged serious  ‘fraud, perjury, collusion, internal tampering and much worse’… Dounne, who has now lost all faith in the Family Courts, is left with ‘no choice’, but to take her experience to the highest Court in the land ‘the Supreme Court’, to conduct an independent investigation into the perceived corruption which has deprived her rights to ‘a fair & impartial hearing and financial settlement’.


●  A WIDER PROBLEM THROUGHOUT THE UK

However, through her journey, Dounne has come to recognize that her experience is not an isolated case, but is in fact common place amongst unrepresented individuals (known as ‘Litigants in Person’). With hearings being conducted behind closed doors, Litigants (with absolutely no experience in law; legal procedure or knowledge on how to conduct a case), are expected to go head-to-head against Barristers who are professionally trained in ‘Law’ and skilled in the Courtroom… making the outcome (for many) ‘a foregone conclusion’, even before the parties’ step into the Courtroom.  Therefore, the opportunity for ‘legal abuse and corruption’ taking place is heightened (and seemingly on the increase), thereby putting the lives of vulnerable, poor people at risk, and open to being victimized, traumatized, discredited, bullied and destroyed, by the very laws that are meant to protect them… with ‘nowhere’ and ‘no one’ to turn too.  

Nonetheless, Dounne hopes that her shocking experience, will serve to highlight and help make ‘fundamental changes within the Judicial System’ to protect the innocent, vulnerable and poor from ‘legal abuse’.  Plus, provide ‘Litigants’ with the necessary support, respect, as well as, Access-to-Justice; and for Judges to take great care not to turn a blind eye to ‘fraud & perjury’, but instead stand by Lord Denning’s infamous statement that – 

“No court in this land will allow a person to keep an advantage which he has obtained by fraud. No judgment of a court, no order of a Minister, can be allowed to stand if it has been obtained by fraud. ‘Fraud unravels everything’. The court is careful not to find fraud unless it is distinctly pleaded and proved; but once it is proved, it vitiates judgments, contracts and all transactions whatsoever”.

To achieve this, Dounne plans to bring in independent legal minds including advocates in Human Rights, Common Law and Natural Justice in preparation for the Supreme Court and an independent investigation.  She therefore aims to raise £50,000 to cover the costs involved.


●  WHAT'S DONE IN THE DARK MUST COME TO LIGHT

It is however, somewhat significant that at a time when women are bravely coming forward to openly speak out against mental, sexual and physical abuse; abuse of power; intimidation; and ‘open secrets’… that Dounne is now ready to openly challenge, not only her former-husband’s fraudulent & abusive behaviour; but also the last bastions – ‘the Legal Profession and the Judiciary’, who remain stubborn, steadfast, unapologetic, out-dated and seemingly immune to ‘erroneous decisions’ which infringes our rights.   As the famous saying goes,

‘With great power, comes great responsibility’
 
… therefore it should also serve to remind those in the ‘business’ of administering the Rule of Law, not to discriminate, but to uphold their Judicial Oath which they swear by Almighty God to –

“do right to all manner of people after the laws and usages of this realm, without fear or favour, affection or ill will.”
                               
Although we are not at liberty to document Dounne’s full experience, you may find the details we have shared disturbing. However, its purpose is not to stir up anger or ill-will, but to understand how anyone can be easily duped by their spouse, through no fault of their own… plus bring to light serious deficiencies, corruption and abuses actively being practiced within the legal profession and UK Family Courts.  Being a very private person, under normal circumstances, Dounne would have preferred to put this all down to ‘life lessons’ and simply move on with her life, but sadly, left with virtually nothing, she has been forced to STAND UP for her rights.

Thankfully, despite everything, Dounne has somehow managed to maintain her strength and dignity.  Even so, we feel that for things to truly change, it is important that those who have played a part in her abuse, torment and destitution, should be held to account for their actions. But unfortunately, when dealing with money, power and institutions, most of us are aware that this rarely happens organically, until the truth is brought to light.

To this day, Dounne still struggles to understand the reasons behind her former husband's  behaviour, however with ‘your support’ we are hopeful that her story will become a Catalyst for ‘real’ Change.

Part 2: 

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

In 1994, Dounne Alexander MBE (known and respected for her incredible work in natural health, human & animal rights advocacy); met Rudolph Walker who at that time was a jobbing actor, whose career had remained dormant for over a decade; with limited future prospects.

Falling head over heels in love; after the couple made an amicable ‘Life Plan Agreement’, part of which was for Dounne to put her successful career & business on hold to rebuild his, and in return he would finance the regeneration of her business (GRAMMA’S). Dounne worked 24/7, devoting 15 years to rebuilding & managing his career and as a result, she provided Mr. Walker with the longest employment and highest income in his entire career. But after all of this and more, (including nominating him for an OBE Medal - which he received in 2006)... unbeknown to her, the EastEnders Star was busy working behind the scenes, carefully orchestrating a plan to defraud her out of everything she owned when the couple divorced in 2013... leaving her not only destitute, but also devastated and traumatized by the utter betrayal from the one she truly believed was her ‘Soul Mate’ for life. It was only at this point that on reflection, she realized that he had purposely groomed her throughout their marriage for his own 'personal and financial' gain.

Dounne (who did not want the involvement of Solicitors or the Courts; wished to settle their affairs privately & amicably amongst family and for them to remain friends), was suddenly thrust into the divorce process with no legal knowledge, experience or training; and pitted against Mr Walker’s allegedly ‘corrupt’ Legal Team… then faced a ‘seemingly biased’ District Judge - who took complete control of the case; and has to-date made every possible effort to close it.  Only Dounne’s sheer ‘will’, ‘unbelievable determination’ and ‘persistence’ in her pursuit for justice and a fair hearing, prevented this from happening.  Nonetheless, to-date several Judges have not only turned ‘a blind eye’ to Mr. Walker’s extensive Fraud, Perjury and Contempt-of-Court...  but the final straw came about at a hearing held on 11th April 2018, when the District Judge worked with his Barrister - to involve Dounne’s creditors as a means to enforce the sale of her home (knowing it will make her homeless), in order to pay him - a mere £5,040 (mainly legal fees); to which he added 8% interest £571.20,  totalling £5611.20.  And although Mr. Walker, his Barrister and the Judge are fully aware that Dounne has absolutely no money (verified by her annual accounts); the Judge sanctioned ‘orally’ that the full amount must be paid by 26th April 2018.  [ Note:   Mr Walker’s Barrister’s legal fees (£3,600) for that day’s hearing, will increase the total amount to £9,211.20. ] However, as Dounne’s creditors had happily agreed (in 2016) to £5.00 monthly instalments, she therefore proposed that Mr. Walker should receive the same, pending her High Court Appeal; but the Judge and his Barrister rejected her offer.

Having earned over £3 million (gross) and purchased 3 homes, since she started rebuilding and managing his career, to this day she remains oblivious and still struggles to understand the reasons behind his treatment and behaviour.

Needless to say, the prolonged injustice has simply been merciless... with Mr. Walker even impressing on the District Judge to close Dounne’s business and health campaign, fully aware of the many lives (both human and animals alike) the business has saved over the past 30 years (from which he himself had benefited).  Plus being a pensioner, he also knows it is her sole source of potential income for future survival … and as he ‘reneged and denied’  their Life Plan Agreement in Court ‘under oath’ (that he would finance its regeneration in return for her rebuilding his career), she now depends on the support of her children, family and close friends to keep it going.

Dounne is one of the most generous souls you could ever wish to meet, who has been subjected to many life challenges, but her absolute faith is all embracing and is the main reason she remains so strong.  But she now urgently ‘needs your help to complete this arduous journey’…
