Our beloved brother, father, uncle, and husband, Joe (Jojo) Lallouz z”l was someone known for his charismatic and positive attitude towards others and life. Jojo was a loving brother to 3 siblings, a dedicated husband, a father of 3 children, and an uncle to 12 nieces and nephews. Jojo had so many great friends and he loved laughing, playing sports, and the simple act of being with them. Jojo was someone that others gravitated to and the feeling was always reciprocated.
Spring 2015, Jojo was diagnosed with Sinonasal Carcinoma (SCC), which is basically Sinus Cancer. Jojo battled and attacked his cancer like a warrior, with intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and eventually, the cancerous tumor disappeared. We thought the worse had passed, and that Jojo was free to live his life, once again, to the fullest.
Jojo moved on with his life, and continued to work hard to support his family. He made sure to make each day count, while always being 100% there for his children, wife, and family.
However, Jojo was stricken with more terrible news during Spring of 2017, when he received another diagnosis of SCC, but this time, the cancer metastasized to his spinal cord. The doctors said that he had only several months to a few years left to live.
Immediately, Jojo resumed his battle against the “vicious and unforgivable beast”, and began radiation and chemotherapy treatments once again. All the while, never losing faith in G-d and never losing hope.
Unfortunately, the cancer affected his gross motor skills and slowly, sadly, and painfully, his life was taken away on December 29, 2017.
He now leaves behind three very young children and a wife. His only wish to his family and close friends was to “please make sure that my family always has a roof over their head and food on the table”. This is all that preoccupied him and more so, near the end of his life.
We are asking you to help raise funds for Jojo's family. His 3 children are still very young and have many years of school left, and many other important milestones in their lives B”H. With Jojo no longer being able to support his family, we are asking our friends, family, and community to support them.
His family has been through enough already, so please, let’s try to make financial burden not an additional worry.
