Will Floyd (BillNyeIOMC)

This is for Will Floyd aka Bill Nye, who is a proud father of baby Emma, a loving husband to Lauren, a Brother in the Iron Order Motorcycle Club and also a Science teacher at Sumter High School. On March 2nd he was riding his motorcycle to work on McCrays Mill road when a vehicle pulled out in front of him after it had crossed four lanes of traffic. He struck the vehicle as it was trying to cross through his lane of traffic. He hit the passenger side of the car flying over the hood. The panicked driver then slammed on the gas pulling him under the car, he was trapped under the car after being drug several feet as the driver drove to a complete stop. As a result, he was stuck under the vehicle for about 30 minutes awaiting the arrival of Sumters first responders to lift the vehicle off. He was then air evac'd to Richland and treated immediately for his injuries and also received several scans evaluating his condition. He ended up with a broken right arm in two places, a lacerated foot, two broken ribs, three fractured vertebrae and burns to his face and severe burns to his left arm.  They have moved Will to Augusta, GA burn unit to treat the more severe burns where he will spend a few days.  Through all of this Will is expected to have a lengthy recovery as well as be able to provide for his family, Lauren and baby Emma. Anything donated is going to help with medical costs as well as transportation and also to help the family stay on their feet financially while Will is out of work and while Lauren takes a step back from work to help Will with his recovery. Will is a GREAT guy and I know he would step up to help anyone. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated!
