I met JJ Vera through the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington (GMCW). Of course I was immediately struck by JJ's sense of style....but JJ's energy and heart is what really draws you in. Countless friends of JJ would agree.
JJ has both a creative and courageous spirit. Having struggled with family issues of his own, he channeled his empathy into work for the Rainbow Youth Alliance, which led to a profile of JJ in the Washington Blade (http://www.washingtonblade.com/2016/04/06/queery-jj-vera/).
He won't admit it, but JJ needs help with taking a big step in his life. Having enrolled in the The Salon Professional Academy, he is faced with tuition bills he cannot afford. We can help.
