Urgent Repairs needed at Shelter!

Friends of Guest House  was created in 1974 when a woman left incarceration for non-violent offenses and discovered she had no place to go. She worked with friends to create a place where women who were exiting incarceration would have a safe, stable temporary home to begin their journey of returning to the community.  42 years later, in the same home in the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria, VA, Guest House is helping women get back on their feet…but we need your help…. Our little house on Luray Ave. is in need of major repair!  Specifically, the boiler (over 25 years old) has limited life left and is limping along to heat the entire house on these below freezing nights still. TODAY we NEED your help to fund its replacement, so we can continue to safely house more women this year!
