Help and Jake and Lorrie Rebuild

Friends, families and supporters. Thank you for visiting Jake and Lorrie Colborn's Go Fund Me page. This page was set up to build funds that will allow Jake and Lorrie to start the immediate rebuilding process. As you know Jake and Lorrie lost not only thier home of 42 years, but Jake's business headquarters and shop. The devastation of losing a home that you have raised a family in, built with your own hands and created memories in is one thing, but to lose your livelihood adds salt to the wound. 

Many of us have special memories of times at their home. Whether it is a memory as simple as playing in Jake's shop, or swinging on the rope swing to more impactful memories like being married on the lawn this home has been a place of celebration, refuge and joy for us all. 

Jake and Lorrie are resiliant and their support system grows as deep and wide as the roots of the oak trees that still surround their property. Their home can be rebuilt, and the memories will stay, but it takes money to start that process. 

Lorrie left in just a robe, Jake in his shorts and a sweatshirt. They literally have nothing. Simple things cost, and without the barn, shop and all of Jake's tools, having income to buy these things will take time. Jake and Lorrie have done so much, for so many, over the years, it is our turn to lift them up and give back. If it is in your heart, please give what you can. Remember, even $1 buys a toothbrush!
