Jeff Zackowski 's Medical Fund

In January of 2016, our brother, father, and friend collapsed at a concert and started siezing. Taken to the hospital it was discovered that he has a brain tumor, but not just any brain tumor, a gioblastoma, one of the worst ones that you can contract. Shortly after the discovery, he had it removed, underwent radiation and chemo treatments.

In a follow up visit and MRI in July, it showed that it returned. Another operation to remove the second tumor. And again, rounds of chemo and other medications. 

Jeff has also had to have rehab to learn to walk again after these debilitating treatments. 

In September, on a visit to his brother in Virginia so his brother could care for him, Jeff was again hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs. Again, more treatment. 

Jeff recently had another MRI and the oncologist said it showed a gradual infiltrative tumor growth, she gave the analogy of roots of a tree creeping slowly. New medications were introduced at that time.

Jeff is currently at his home in Reading. He has a part time care-giver. his girls and his girlfriend Healther are helping to the best of their abilities. He is getting ready to list his home for sale, so he can move to  a  smaller, one level handicap apartment, where his life will be easier. 

We are asking for funds to pay the outstanding medical bills that are mounting and medicines that will be needed. 

He will have another MRI in a couple of weeks. I will give updates as I get them.
